I work with leadership teams and project organisations facing complex planning and investment decisions. My focus is on improving decision quality, simplifying processes and advising where digital and AI capabilities genuinely add value - without adding unnecessary complexity or overhead.
In capital-intensive businesses, planning mistakes are expensive. I’m usually called when decisions are complex, stakes are high, and teams are pulling in different directions.
What I do
Good decisions only happen when intentions, incentives and daily reality line up. I help leadership teams see where they don’t - and bring them back into alignment.
Decision Support
Independent support for framing and reviewing critical decisions, clarifying options and tradeoffs, and challenging assumptions in a structured and constructive way.
Process Design & Simplification
Analysis and redesign of planning and decision processes that have become slow, fragmented or ineffective in practice.
Digital & AI Translation
Advisory support to translate process pain points and decision challenges into concrete, executable digital and AI use cases - and to clarify where digitalisation adds real value, and where it does not.
Strategic Sparring & Sounding Board
I also act as an independent sparring partner to founders and technical leaders in consulting and asset-intensive industries where planning decisions are complex and costly. Structured conversations, honest feedback, and practical next steps.

Experience
I have over two decades of experience working in and with asset-intensive organisations, primarily in Oil & Gas, at the intersection of operations, planning and digital decision support.
Earlier roles at Shell in technology & innovation, subsurface engineering, asset management, technical assurance, field development planning, operational effectiveness and major project delivery.
I co-founded WhiteSpace Solutions, working closely with operators and leadership teams on complex planning and optimisation challenges - including portfolio decision support, field development planning, strategy, logistics and scheduling optimisation, and the practical application of advanced algorithms and AI in operational settings.
My work combines deep industry understanding with analytical and systems thinking, and a pragmatic view on what digital and AI can, and cannot, deliver in real organisations.
